Trump Accounts for kids — do this first

Federal kids’ investment accounts — not a gimmick. The single highest-leverage money move for many families right now:

Parent checklist + compound math → Claim at trumpaccounts.gov
🛡️

Safe by design

No credit card. No loot boxes. No stranger chat. No selling kids’ data. Progress stays on their device.

🧠

Real skills

Budgeting, debt, credit unions, index funds, Roth IRAs, term life — the same “six moves” adults need, in teen language.

🎮

They’ll keep playing

Ranks, missions, daily streaks, and a shareable “flex card” after wins. Learning is the side effect.

🤝

Honor-system missions

Biggest rewards for real-world moves (save $25, open a Roth). Nothing is tracked externally — it’s between them and their future self.

Why this exists

Greenlight and debit cards teach spending. Almost nobody teaches the brain behind the card — until debt or FOMO does it the hard way.

Default path
  • School barely covers money
  • TikTok “finance gurus”
  • First credit card at 18
  • Panic at 28
Money Move$ path
  • Play 10 minutes a day
  • Practice needs vs wants
  • Open a Roth while young
  • Compounding head start

Questions parents ask

Is it free?

Yes. The core game and lessons are free forever. If we ever add a parent Family plan, it will be optional, clearly labeled, and never required to learn the basics.

Is it appropriate for middle school?

Yes. Players pick Middle School, High School, College, or Young Adult so examples match their life (allowance vs rent). You can sit with them on level 1 — it takes about a minute.

Will it push crypto, day trading, or gambling?

No. We actively teach traps to dodge — get-rich-quick schemes, whole life as an “investment,” and commission-driven products. The core move is boring on purpose: low-cost index funds + time.

Do you collect my kid’s data?

Progress is stored on the device. Optional email is only if someone joins the waitlist. Read the full Privacy page.

How do I get them to start?

Text them the game link and race them on level 1. Or open it together on the couch. First win unlocks the climb — that’s the hook.

What about Trump Accounts?

Real federal program. Up to $5,000/year total per child; employers can contribute up to $2,500 of that tax-free to the worker. Eligible 2025–2028 births can get a $1,000 seed. At 18 the account generally becomes a traditional IRA — many families plan a Roth conversion while income is low so growth can be tax-free. Full walkthrough (including “use it for a business?” honesty) is on our Trump Accounts guide.
